The guild regularly gives demonstrations at community events such as Family Day in Qualicum Beach and Active Aging Week. We can also be found at local fairs (Lighthouse Fall Fair), historical events (Qualicum Museum Children’s Day), and Craft Exhibitions (Art in Action).
Guild members are available for talks, hands on activities and demonstrations at senior’s facilities, as well as other community clubs and events. Numerous fibre arts classes, both in-person and virtual, are offered regularly to the public and QWSG members. Â
As one of the largest guilds on Vancouver Island, the QWSG has hosted fiber arts retreats to bring together other guilds in the region, and help organize exhibitions of member’s work in local galleries to showcase and share knowledge with the public.
